Statutory Notice - Further and Higher Education Act 1992
Palmer’s Sixth Form College Corporation hereby gives notice in accordance with the provisions of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (the Act) of the proposal that Palmer’s Sixth Form College of Chadwell Rd, Grays RM17 5TD be dissolved and that the transfer of the property, rights and liabilities of that Corporation to Seevic Further Education Corporation of Runnymede Chase, Benfleet SS7 1TW be effected.
Dissolution of the Palmer’s Sixth Form College is proposed, at the request of the Sixth Form College Corporation in order that the College may merge with Seevic Further Education College Corporation.
The date proposed for the dissolution is midnight on 31 July 2017.
Provision will be made for all 1547 full-time students currently attending Palmer’s Sixth Form College who have not yet completed their courses of study by the date of the dissolution to complete their studies with the new merged college.

The full proposal is also available on the Sixth Form College website www.palmers.ac.uk/the-college/merger. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, representations may be made by 30 April 2017.
Representations can be made in writing to Palmer’s College, c/o Kay Staines, FREEPOST, Chadwell Road, Grays, Essex RM17 5BR, and will be considered by the Sixth Form College Corporation before a final decision is made.
A summary of the consultation and outcome will be published within 2 months of the end of the consultation period.
