Studying at College involves working independently, especially when you are preparing for essays, assignments and coursework. This will usually involve research using books, newspapers, magazines, audio-visual materials and e-resources. Successful students tend to use a wide range of resources provided by the College to support their work.
The Library & Resource Centre is a pleasant and friendly place to study, well-stocked with all the resources needed to support the subjects you are studying. This includes an extensive book collection, DVDs with viewing facilities, CDs, newspapers and magazines.
The Library's intranet pages provide access to electronic resources, which include additional newspapers and journals, reference works, recommended websites and resources. College PCs will give you access to the College network and the internet. There is also free wifi connection in some of the study areas.
An online catalogue helps you to make the most of the Library's resources and the Library staff are always there to provide assistance whenever needed.
Using the Library enables you to get the best out of your time at College, helping you with your subjects, keeping you up to date and providing an opportunity to study in a welcoming atmosphere. Whatever you are studying you will be offered a friendly introduction to all services and systems.
During term time we are open Monday to Thursday from 8.15am-6.00pm and 8.15am-3.00pm Friday.
