If you’re aged between 16 and 19 and think you might struggle with the costs for full-time education or training, you may receive a bursary.
Students most in need will be eligible to receive a bursary of £1,200 a year. This group includes:
- people in care
- care leavers
- disabled young people who receive Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance
After these students have received their bursary, the remaining fund will be allocated to people whose parents claim benefits such as income support, Job Seekers Allowance and Working Tax Credit.
Application forms will be available in September, and you will be asked to provide evidence that proves you are eligible for a bursary. We can help you decide what you need to provide as evidence.

The above represents just a small part of that which the Trust does in a material way to assist the students at Palmer’s College. Equally important is the fact that the Trust seeks to encourage in the students, a lifelong affinity with the College and its ethos, by helping to provide opportunities for intellectual, academic and personal development within a caring and supportive environment.
