Why study the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Creative Media Production?

The BTEC Diploma in Creative Media Production is a level 2 course, designed to give students practical skills and a working knowledge of media production. During the year, students will produce a portfolio of work, including several media products (eg short films, magazine articles etc). The course will be mainly practical, although there will be some written work required.

What do I study?

You will study four compulsory units and five specialist units.

Compulsory Units:
• research for creative media production
• communication techniques for creative media production
• the creative media and media audiences and products

Specialist units:
• advertising production
• print production
• video production
• media production project
• factual production for the media

Where does the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Creative Media Production take me?

A BTEC Diploma in Creative Media Production may enable you to work in the media industry or progress you onto a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma course.

You will need to show that you have initiative, motivation and commitment and are able to work on your own, planning and producing work.
