BTEC CERTIFICATE (FOUNDATION STUDIES)

Why study Foundation Studies?

This foundation level course will enable you to build on the skills and knowledge you already have, to gain a qualification that will give you access to a range of career and Further Education opportunities.

What do I study?

You will study for a LEVEL 1 BTEC Certificate in Vocational Studies which covers:

• preparing for employment
• understanding your learning and recognising your strengths
• taking part in exercise and fitness
• managing your money
• planning a trip
• how the body works
• using IT
• customer service in retail

All BTEC courses also involve work in:

• Maths
• English
• Information Technology

These are highly valued by employers.

Where does Foundation Studies take me?

Access to Further Education opportunities or employment – it can support applications for level 2 courses such as BTEC Diplomas.
