BTEC Diplomas (Level 3): Music Technology

Why study Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Music Technology?

Music Technology covers a range of areas from the recording process to studio design.  You will study practical skills, such as microphone placement, and producing written work to support your learning.  Industry standard software is used daily in lessons to create, mix and master tracks.

What do I study?

A combination of units including music production techniques, sequencing systems and techniques, marketing and promotion in the music industry, music and society, music project and more. 

Where does the Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Music Technology take me?

The Diploma in Music Technology is equivalent to two A-levels and gives you the same career prospects as the Extended Diploma, but could be matched with subjects such as Media or Film Studies to support and understand both sound and visuals.
Music Technology could also be teamed up with Graphic Design or Business to support careers in marketing or music administration. 

What do I need?

Minimum of four Cs at GCSE or a level 2 Diploma in the subject you wish to study.
