Once you have submitted your application form, you will receive a postcard confirming that your application has been received by the College. You will also receive confirmation highlighting whether a place has been reserved for you or not. This is a conditional offer based on you obtaining the required grades to undertake the courses you wish to study, eg. 2 Bs and 4Cs to undertake an A-level programme.

You will then be invited for your first of three interviews at the College between March and April.  The first interview is an informal interview to discuss your application and the subjects you wish to take.

The second interview is part of the Palmer's Day One event held in July, where students who have applied to Palmer's College are invited to hear about the courses they wish to take or are interested in taking, tour round the College, meet their personal tutor and fellow new students as well as meet the Principal.  The afternoon consists of new students being informally interviewed by their personal tutors.

The final interview takes place after you have had your results and forms part of the enrolment process in September.  Here, we will discuss whether the results attained enable you to undertake the programme of study you wish to take or if you wish to study a different A-level subject/BTEC course, than what you put down in your application.  If your grades do not meet the criteria, the College will endeavour to put you on the right course at the right level.
