A newly formed student group amazed a packed out audience with a spectacular evening of gospel singing, dance and inspirational speaking on Tuesday 14 July 2009 at Palmer’s College. Over £500 was raised for World Vision UK.
The two hour event was entirely organised by NMC (New Movement Collectives) and led by second year student Abraham Adekoya,
Abraham, 18 from Rainham said: “ I am really pleased with the evening, managing the whole event from ticket sales to planning rehearsals was certainly stressful but the whole group helped and made the event a success, so it was all worth it!.”
The theme of the evening was ‘NU’ beginnings and included performances and inspirational speaking about trying hard and believing in your-self, violence, street crime and peace in the community.
Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: "The Gospel Concert was a hugely successful event with almost £500 raised for World Vision UK. The students were spectacular and a credit to the College."
NMC are a group of 20 first and second year students at Palmer’s College inspired by faith and music.
