Palmer's College hosted a fundraising frenzy on Friday 20 November with students raising money for two wonderful charities.

The Student Executive organised a 'Sweetie Socks' event last Friday and invited all students and staff to wear the wackiest pair of socks they owned.  Even the Principal got into the fun and wore the loudest socks he owned!

Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: “It’s great to see the students and staff getting involved in fundraising events to help raise money for those children who really need it in the UK.”

On the same day Students and staff were also fundraising for Children in Need and spent the day dressed up in their pyjamas. Over £200 was raised for this great cause, which was celebrated on Friday 20 November 2009.

A number of International Baccalaureate (IB) students dressed up in their pyjamas for the day and went round the campus with their buckets, collecting money. Even the College's Student Supervisors dressed up in their PJ's to support the students fundraising event.

The College's students and staff take part in regular fundraising activities on campus and this year have raised thousands of pounds for both local and national charities.
