Over 500 people attended a celebration evening where 140 young people who took part in various projects in Thurrock were rewarded.

The event was held on Wednesday 4 November at the Civic Hall, Grays, to celebrate the first year of Thurrock Council's Youth and Connexions as an integrated service and reward young people between the ages of 13 and 19.

Judith Barras, Head of Careers at Palmer's College said: "The event was a wonderful acknowledgment of the young people of the borough who have engaged in really positive activities, making a difference, not only to their own lives but also those living in local communities."

Apart from the awards, guests were entertained by some very talented young performers. Judith added: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I was thrilled to see at least 13 current and ex-Palmer's students being presented with certificates for their involvement."

Another fantastic achievement by our talented and committed students!
