The Student Executive at Palmer’s College raised over £500 for the Make a Wish Foundation at their Charity Fun Day held on Monday 13 July.
Over 500 students enjoyed a day of fun filled activities, taking part in inflatable games such as sumo wrestling, gladiators, boxing and bungee-running as well as traditional sports day games including sack races and the tug of war.
The College’s Gospel Choir also performed for the first time on the front field, to a captivated audience who clapped along as they rehearsed in preparation for their big night.
Tola Oshunremi, President of the Student Executive said: “It was a great day and a huge success. Including the Fun Day, we have now raised over £1500 for the Make a Wish Foundation and are on target to reach our goal of £4,000 by February.”
Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: "The Fun Day is a popular annual event for students winding down for the summer after working hard for their exams. It's a fun event which also helps to raise money for the Student Executive's chosen charity."
