

2010 HIGHLIGHTS
This year's results have not disapointed with the A-level pass rate being maintained at 97% for the third year running. 40% of students gained A*, A or B grades and 68% attained A*- C grades. 51 students achieved A* grades with one exceptional student gaining 4 A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Histroy and Physics.
BTEC National Diploma pass rates were at 99% with the National Certficates at 97%. 37% of students gained triple distinctions, a 1% increase from last year.

2009 HIGHLIGHTS
Exam results at Palmer's College continue to improve year on year. This year saw another excellent year for the College, with an impressive 97% pass rate. In 2008, the A-level pass rate was above the national average at 97.3%. BTEC pass rates were 100% with 72 students gaining triple distinctions - the highest grade possible and equivalent to 3 grades at A-level.
This year saw two of its highest achievers achieving 4 As in their A-levels. Thomas Bridge from Basildon attained 4 As in French, Further Maths, Maths and History. Sonny Smart from Little Thurrock gained 4 As in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Sonny also secured a place on to Gordon Brown's Fellowship Scheme and spent six weeks in Brazil.
Last year, the College saw two of its students being placed amongst the top ten in the country with their outstanding results. Rachael Haigh gained a superb result in her A-level Psychology exam and Kayleigh Prior gained a superb result in her GCSE Italian exam.

20 A-level subjects, out of a possible 36, had a 100% pass rate
12 of these had more than 50% with A or B grades
30 of our students obtained 3 or more A grades at A-level
The average number of high grades (A/B) attained by A-level students increased by 5% to 40%.
Subjects including Further Mathematics, Geography, Graphic Design, Law, Photography, Film Studies and Economics all had over 50% of there students achieving the top two A & B grades.
